If you have an existing website, we will copy over all of its content and add it to the new optimised structure. If needed, we will generate AI written content for your main pillar pages and default suburb page. Otherwise, it is your responsibility to provide the content. If you include a SmartyrWebsite with a SmartyrSEO plan, we will create optimised, human written content as part of the plan.
To keep our prices down, we need to streamline the process of designing and developing a website. We achieve this by having developed a selection of design components that we use to build and design our websites with. We find it works best if you leave it to our design team and let them build you a website that not only looks great, but more importantly, works great at converting. Of course, if you really want to have a specific design, we can do this as well. However, as it requires custom design, there will be an additional cost. We can discuss this in the onboarding process.
Through numerous tests over the years, we have found that having your own photos on the website will outperform stock images for conversion. People want to buy from people, so they want to see who they will be dealing with. So, we strongly recommend that you take a range of photos with your team and send them to us to choose from. The good news is that we don't need high resolution images for the web, like print, so your phone camera will work fine. If we don't get images, we will have no option than to use standard stock (or AI generated) images. These will be selected by our design team.
We host your website on industry leading infrastructure (AWS and Cloudflare) to ensure it not only loads fast, but is safe and secure. We have found that our websites get crawled and indexed by Google at a higher level compared to other platforms we have trialled over the years. Your hosting also includes all the Smartyr Modules we have developed to make maintaining your site as effortless as possible. This includes SmartyrReviews, SmartyrProjects, SmartyrGalleries etc.
Shopify is one of the best eCommerce platforms available. However, one of its biggest weaknesses is the flat structure it uses. If you really want your website to be optimised for Google and other search engines, you need to have a clear structure to help them understand what your website is about. Think of something like a mind map instead of a flat organisation chart (like Shopify). A lot of the big Shopify websites out there use purpose built plugins etc they've developed to allow them to create this structure. We've found it easier (and better) to integrate with our SmartyrWebsite, which already has a proven SEO structure. This way you get the best of both worlds.
As we've integrated Shopify with our SmartyrWebsite, we will charge you as per normal for the SmartyrWebsite ($70 plus gst/month). This covers everything, including our Google reviews app (SmartyrReviews) and more. We then set you up as the owner on your Shopify website, and you will pay this hosting direct. Unfortunately, Shopify needs the owner of the website to be set up as the owner in the admin section and be responsible for hosting etc.
Unfortunately No. Uploading products can be extremely time-consuming, and our experience shows that people always underestimate the number of products they want to upload. So we will set up your catalogue structure and guide you on how to upload the products. If you really want us to handle the uploading, this can be arranged, but we do charge on an hourly basis.
Once again, this is something the Shopify forces the owner of the website to set up. We can assist you, but you will be responsible for it.
